Key Project
Features
Wetland
Mitigation Areas - Several wetland mitigation areas were constructed to
create new wetland areas along the roadways.

Pre-cast
Concrete Culverts - Pre-cast concrete culverts were chosen to carry the
roadways over the existing streams and wetland areas.

Noise Reduction Berm - Berms were constructed along Stonebreak
road to minimize the potential for noise from the roadway reaching residences
nearby.

Roundabouts - The interior roadways contain three roundabouts
to handle traffic flows at the intersections. The roundabouts include ornamental
lighting, landscaping and full pedestrian accommodations.

Storm Water
Management Ponds - Ponds were constructed to treat storm water from the
roadways.

Water Line
Installation - The project included the installation of a 30 in
waterline that will connect to the County Water line.

Sensitive
Archeological Sites - There were several sensitive areas identified
during the design process that needed to be protected from disturbance.

Earthwork
Spoil Areas

Electrical
Duct Bank Installation - The roadway project installed several hundred
feet of underground conduit that was encased in concrete. This conduit is the
future location of an underground transmission line that will provide
electricity of the Tech Park.

Traffic
Monitoring Sensors - Special cameras were installed along the roadways
to monitor traffic volumes into and out of the Tech Park. The cameras do not
record images, they only count the number of vehicles that pass.

Directional
Drilled Water Line - Several sections of water line were installed
using directional drilling.
