Project Description:The University at Albany is a University Research Center, one of four in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The University at Albany, established in 1844, is the oldest state chartered institution of higher education in New York. The University is a Carnegie Research II Institution and has approximately 16,000 students enrolled in its eight degree-granting Schools and Colleges. The University is comprised of four separate sites: the Main Uptown Campus is the largest of the sites with approximately 500 acres and the Downtown Campus is comprised of buildings that are on the National Historic Register. Other sites include the East Campus located in Rensselaer, NY and an observatory located on Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, NY. Firm Role:Creighton Manning Engineering is the prime consultant on the Civil Engineering Term Agreement providing professional services to the University on an as needed basis for a wide range of projects, including but not limited to, repair, rehabilitation, reconstruction and improvement of University facilities not to exceed a construction cost of $500,000. Typically, all construction related projects require detailed designs, drawings and specifications regardless of the construction delivery method. In addition to construction related projects, tasks on the term agreement may include various types of studies and investigative reports including, but not limited to, programming studies, feasibility studies, non-destructive testing and analyses of infrastructure systems and/or their components and environmental assessment studies and reports.
