Project Description:

This project consisted of Construction Engineering and Inspection Services provided for the reconstruction of Medusa Road (CR 351) in Rensselaerville, Albany County, NY. This Albany County sponsored and funded highway rehabilitation project involved full depth reconstruction, closed drainage, granite curb, slate sidewalk rehabilitation, guide rail installation and 5 miles of asphalt concrete overlay. CME provided the Resident Engineer, Office Engineer and NICET Level II inspectors, to ensure all work was performed in accordance with NYSDOT Standard Specifications and the provisions of the contract documents. Inspection services included detailed inspection; materials field testing; field measurements\computations\reports; field design changes; M&P of traffic staging; utility coordination; EEO compliance; Pay roll review; Progress & Final Estimates using NYSDOT CEES; and M.U.R.K. conformance record keeping. In addition, due to the project's historic location and significance, there was substantial community coordination.

Firm Role:

Creighton Manning Engineering was retained by Albany County Department of Public Works to provide full-time Construction Inspection and Administration support for this highway reconstruction project in the historic Hamlet of Rensselaerville.
