Project Description:

Prepared a Transportation Plan for vehicular access as well as pedestrian flow for the Bonnaroo Festival for 8 consecutive years with approximately 100,000 attendees camping on-site for this 3-day event.

Firm Role:

Creighton Manning Engineering, LLP was responsible for coordinating meetings and activities with representatives from law enforcement agencies (2 local plus State Highway Patrol), local and state emergency management agencies and Tennessee DOT. Creighton Manning held meetings and coordinated with contractors for roadway sign installation, parking services as well as Variable Message Sign programming and installation. Additional tasks included:

  • Planning and coordination of Variable Message Sign location, programming, and installation
  • Designation of spectator, artist, emergency vehicle, travel routes and alternate routes
  • Consultation at traffic control operations during the event through a unified police command center
  • Public meetings and media releases regarding the transportation system
  • Developing web site content describing the transportation plan
  • Real time supervision of the parking and traffic routing operations during the event
