Project Description:

This project involved the preparation of a Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS) for the purpose of evaluating the cumulative impacts of future development on community resources in the Town of Malta including land use, infrastructure and the environment and to identify appropriate mitigation to ensure orderly and equitable growth.

Firm Role:

Creighton Manning Engineering was responsible for the transportation portion of the GEIS including the analysis of future 2015 traffic conditions with development at Luther Forest Technology Campus. Some of the key tasks on this project included:

• Detailed level of service analysis of 37 intersections.
• Recommended improvements to 17 intersections to mitigate future operating conditions.
• Prepared transportation sections of the GEIS and participated in public meetings.
• Estimated probable construction costs for mitigation measures and assessed transportation mitigation fee to share cost of future improvements.
